“And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 38But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe."
Yeshua says “whom HE sent, HIM you do not believe.” The context of this is two persons that were sent by the Father. The capitalization was added by the translators to only make it seem that HE was talking about HIMSELF. Although HE was talking about HIMSELF, HE was also talking about Moses, as we see the context unfold in what HE says in this warning to the Jews. Keep in mind, according to Peter in 1st Peter 1, that it was the Spirit of Yeshua who spoke through the prophets those things concerning HIMSELF. Moses was a prophet. Through Moses the Spirit of Yeshua prophesied HIS own coming, as the Prophet raised up out of Israel who would be like Moses. The Father sent Moses and then sent HIS own Son speaking the same Word as Moses because the Son is the Living Word – Torah who spoke through Moses. Professing evangelical church person; Do you believe Moses?
39"You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life."
Further witness from the Creator HIMSELF that these Scriptures (Torah) speak of HIMSELF… do you believe the Holy Scripture of Torah? The essence of Torah is the Living Torah, the Son of the Father, Yeshua the Messiah, the anointed ONE of the Father. If we say we have come to HIM we must come to HIM as the ONE foreordained and defined by Torah, according to Torah commandment. Ask yourself, “Have I come to the Living Torah according to the Written Torah?” Any other savior or messiah, other than the ONE True Messiah according to Torah is a false messiah who would be true to Torah and teach that we are to obey Torah.
Here’s the question to ask yourself, “This messiah in whom you trust – did he transgress Torah and teach that followers of him do not have obey Torah?” If he did then how can he be the True Messiah? If your messiah and savior transgressed Torah and taught you that you can transgress Torah then you are still in your sin because your savior is not the True Savior according to Scripture. Who is this Jesus that you profess?
41“I do not receive honor from men. 42But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. 43I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?"
The problem the Jews had is the same one the professing evangelical church has today; the adherence to man’s doctrine – honoring the word of man over the Word of the LORD. The Word of the LORD is Torah. That is why the Jews, as a nation, did not receive Yeshua when HE came. Who HE is does not fit what their rabbis taught, and they honored the word of the rabbis over the Word of the LORD that stood right in front of them. In today’s professing church men honor the words of the so-called church fathers and evangelical teachers over the Word of the Living Torah who spoke and still speaks what is written and established. This is the Torah written by Moses at the direction of and under the inspiration of Yeshua, the Living Torah. For that reason the professing church does not recognize the true Messiah, the Anointed One of the Father who is the Torah made flesh.
45"Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. 46For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”
Those of Israel said they believed Moses, but they proved that they did not believe because they did not receive Yeshua, the Living Torah. They read Torah and the Prophets and claimed they believed HIM but by their actions they proved themselves to be liars. By their actions they showed themselves to be disciples of the rabbis rather than disciples of the Living Elohim. The professing evangelical church is in the same predicament today! She says she believes the writings of Moses and the Prophets but by her actions she shows that she does not. By her actions the professing church shows that she is a disciple of the so-called church fathers, seminary professors, and so-called “vicars” of Christ, rather than disciples of the True Messiah, the Anointed One of the Father, Yeshua, the Living Torah.
The question to the professing church is this; “Do you believe the Words of Yeshua, whom you call Jesus? How can you believe HIS Words if you do not believe Moses’ Words, because Moses’ words are HIS Words.”
To those of the Calvary Chapel movement – those with whom I was once a part of, you say you teach “verse by verse, chapter by chapter, through the Word of God.” You claim to be a Bible believing and Bible teaching movement. You claim to be men who believe the Word and obey the Word. But you prove otherwise by your actions. I challenge you in love that you would re-consider your ways.
The Living Torah is only known by our walking in the Written Torah, by grace through faith.
Grace is the work of the Spirit of God (Elohim) in the life of one who believes what Moses said, which is in reality what Yeshua said. We prove that we believe by our step of faith in obedience. The concept of biblical faith is belief that is proven by obedience. When we accept HIS commandments as the only Truth and take the steps to obey them we then access HIS wonderful work of grace – The New Covenant where HE writes HIS Torah on our hearts puts it in our minds and causes us to walk in HIS Statutes and keep HIS commandments.
The true child of the Living God is saved by grace through faith. The true child of the Living God is saved by a work of grace that happens when we believe what HE said. HE said Torah! Do you believe it? If you do you will do it. Torah says that HE shows mercy to thousands who love HIM and keep HIS commandments. Yeshua said that through Moses in the Ten Commandments. HE said it again when HE walked on the earth as the Torah made flesh. HE said, “If you love ME keep MY commandments.”
Paul says, in Ephesians 2:8-10 – “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are HIS workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Consider that the Greek word “charis” is where the English word “grace” comes from. According to the Strong’s it means, “Especially the divine influence on the heart with the reflection in the life.” Grace is the work of God, HIS divine influence on the heart of a true believer – disciple of the Messiah. This grace we receive is free and we cannot earn it! But this grace has an effect on the one who has received it by believing HIS Torah – HIS Instruction. The result of this gift of grace, when it is received through faith – believing (which means doing) is the ability to obey the commandments that were prepared beforehand by God HIMSELF!
I am saved by grace through faith. I prove that daily because I want to keep HIS commandments of Torah and I trust in HIM to work grace on my heart, through my entering into HIS New Covenant that I might walk in HIS Statutes and keep HIS Commandments – the “good works that HE prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
This is directed at my brothers in Calvary Chapel. By this I mean those who are disciples of the Living God but who are caught up in the lie. Come out of her. She is of Babylon, just as the most of professing christendom. Consider what you believe and have been taught in light of Torah. Consider the words of your pastor and those in leadership over you in light of Torah. Everything must be taken back to the Torah, the Instruction of God to see if it is Truth.
The Bereans, of Acts 17, checked out every word that Paul spoke to see if it was in keeping with the Holy Scriptures. That was Torah they referenced as the Holy Scriptures. Paul checked out perfectly and that is why they believed HIM. They believed Moses who spoke the same thing. Shouldn’t you check out what you think and believe, and what you have been taught by other men who couldn’t carry the light for the Apostle Paul, just as the Bereans checked Paul – against the Instruction of Elohim?
If those men, either of the Calvary Chapel movement, Baptists, Assembly of God, Protestant, non-denominational, or whatever, do not teach the same as Moses, and as Yeshua, you must reject their words in favor of the Word of God.
Paul said, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” Do you have biblical faith? It is defined by what Moses and the Prophets said. Moses and the Prophets were the Voice of Yeshua speaking through them. The Voice is eternal and consistent and true. Repent from following the voice of men and follow the Voice of the Living Elohim – Yeshua the Living Torah, without whom man has not hope of walking in the Written Torah.
You cannot have the Living Torah without the Written Torah and you cannot have the Written Torah without the Living Torah. Do you have both?

The Translator of the "Complete Jewish Bible", David H. Stern made a statement in his intro that really resounded with me. He said, "The Tanak with out the B'rit Hadasha is incomplete and the B'rit Hadasha without the Tanak is heresy.
Ze'ev
I think I understand what David Stern means, but to clarify; Man's interpretation of the B'rit Hadasha, without Tenakh, is heresy. The Scriptures themselves aren't heresy. The fault lies with men. Men are heretical.
