Last day of the Feast of Sukkot. This is a Feast of the LORD, according to Leviticus 23. We are commanded to rejoice before the LORD for 8 days. The Feasts of the LORD tell us about HIM and HIS plan for HIS creation - us. We have experienced Passover, being set free from the bondage to sin (lawlessness), so that we might choose to obey HIS Torah. We experience the Feast of Unleavened Bread in that we remove sin (lawlessness) from our lives. HE has given us Torah, as HE did at Pentecost from Sinai (writing HIS Torah on Stone, but now on our hearts if we have faith - believe what HE said). We know what is acceptable to HIM by what "is written." The Feast of Trumpets proclaiming HIS Truth and that HE is returning at the sound of the shofar - the shout. We are to shout, proclaiming HIS Torah. We experience the Day of Atonement, a time to afflict our souls. In this we see sin, feel it's effects as we examine our own lives and consider the sin in our fellow man, exhorting one another to holy living, according to Torah, as we see the Day approaching. And then this great Feast of Sukkot that teaches us that we now live in these temporary dwellings, the tents that we call our earthly body, but the day is coming when we will lay these tents aside and put on an incorruptible body that will never grow old, have pain or deformity. We will have all sorrow and tears wiped away. It tells me that we should be putting on Messiah now - HIS Word because that is who HE is. We find ourselves in Messiah Yeshua, a new creation. We are no longer to be recognized according to the flesh. I have Gentile ethnic heritage, but I am now a citizen of the kingdom of Yeshua Messiah and our Heavenly Father. I have HIS Holy Spirit living in me, with HIS Torah written on my heart. I have HIS Spirit bringing to my mind the Truth of HIS Torah and causing me, as I submit to HIS Torah and HIS Spirit, to walk in HIS precepts. It is the guarantee of what is to come when all sin will be gone and no lawlessness will be in the New Jerusalem - us HIS Bride! We have reason to rejoice today, and every day! But especially this day. This is a picture of eternity with our Bridegroom in wedded bliss! We have HIS Name, HIS character and nature. We belong to HIM, being in HIM and HE is in us. This intimate knowledge of our bridegroom that we now have will be consummated at the great wedding feast to come. Are you a part of HIS bride? If you are you must prepare yourself this wedding garment of fine white linen that is the righteous acts of the saints, according to Revelation. It is by HIS work of grace through faith. We believe what HE said, step out in faith to obey, and HE supplies grace to help in time of need. HE does the work, but we must respond in works, according to HIS Torah. We can't do it without HIM. And we can't determine what is acceptable to HIM. HE'S already given us Instruction in Torah as to what is acceptable. We can't do it in the flesh, BUT in the Spirit we can. Rejoice for HIS mercy, longsuffering, grace and HIS Torah that we might believe on HIM, be found in HIM, Yeshua the Messiah, the LIVING TORAH!
Family at Messiah Fellowship - See you this afternoon as we gather to rejoice in HIM, as HIS Body and Bride. Food, fun, fellowship in HIM. This is truly a blessed feast!
