Testimony from a dear sister in Tennessee

My friend and sister in Yeshua, Robin Gould, who lives in the southeast part of the USA with her family, wrote this in response to one of my Facebook posts. I asked her if I could share it with you all. It is testimony to how one's eyes are opened when they simply begin to obey the commandments of Torah.  I've pasted it without any editing of any sort. I would love to hear from others who have similar testimonies. Bless you. By the way, if you haven't already joined the Torah Perspective Facebook page, I'd be honored if you did. And please continue to spread the word that we might reach more people with the Torah Truth - the REAL GOSPEL!

"Seeing christmas through new, biblical eyes was very disturbing. Watching the gifts being placed on what seriously was the alter of what was an asheri tree to worship an idol and trying to say we should keep Christ in such a thing was disgusting. Watching the pictures of the holiday table with a big fat ham on it...purely evil and bizarre. Watching... the materialism ensue, the greed, the guilt, the robotic following of it...really strange. Knowing that the tree with it's ball ornaments is a symbol of a phallus and the wreath of a birth canal worshipping fertility...I wasn't even TEMPTED to partake.Everything screamed SATAN and I can hardly believe I never knew any of that. There is biblical Christianity and pagan Christianity. I know which side I stand on. My husband and I have started a new "tradition." On December 24th/25th we will take that opportunity to "celebrate" a day we are calling NoNoel. In this "tradition" we will teach others, and remind ourselves the IMPORTANCE of avoiding pagan rituals and the importance of being set apart and holy...not doing things which imitate pagan worship. On this day we will fellowship with friends in thankful prayer that we are enlightened to the truth of what YHWH HATES so we will not displease Him. We will be set apart INTENTIONALLY to combat this issue. We also have the tradition of increasing our prayer on halloween AGAINST it....so this will be similar. On this day we will denounce all pagan rituals and make it a point to make our seperate ways known and be teaching at the same time."

I too had a similar experience. At the church my family attends, they decorate their stage with a few large trees and lots of lights. Seeing the trees as I sang during worship, I couldn't help but think of the idolatry of it all. It reminded me of what some Catholic churches look like inside with all the gold and saints in the form of idol statues. It's very disturbing.

I am thanking and praising Yahweh for the people in our congregation and their testimonies after our study into this holi-don't season. One dear lady threw her tree out and returned everything she bought which added up to just over $1000. God is awesome!
