Dr. Dick Furman - A Surgeon Who Ministered in Haiti

I received a copy of this article about Dr. Dick Furman who was with a group of believing doctors who went to Haiti to try to help. I got the article from a couple of brothers and then went to find it online. It really spoke to my heart and confirmed some things that the Father has been doing in my heart over the past year of so. A couple of portions of text came to my mind when I read it. The essence of Torah being that we love the LORD with all our heart, soul and mind, and with all our strength, and Isaiah 58, in its entirety. He seperates the sheep from the goats by telling them when I was thirsty you gave me water, you visited me in prison. We do need to help people, Yahshua and his followers were so into this with each other there was no one in need in their midst. If we have the faith of a mustard seed we can move mountains. Yahshua and his followers should be able to pray and heal, multiply food, do the same or even more than He did, HE said we would! That is what we need to see, that is what has got to start happening. These things will only increase all over the world. Will he find faith when he returns?

Meeting physical needs is important and the followers of Messiah should absolutely be about that business. But we must remember that the soul is what needs healed the most. Proclaiming the Truth of Torah, in love, without fail, beseeching those who don't know HIM to receive HIS grace to change their hearts from stone to flesh, allowing HIM to write HIS Torah on the heart and put Toran in the mind is the bottom line. Apart from this saving the physical life is just prolonging the inevitable as we will all die, but we had better be prepared for what happens next; the judgment.
