[...] In the last post we looked intensely at Galatians 3:10. The context of all of Paul’s letters, and all of Scripture as a whole, show us clearly that Paul is contrasting two laws in the Book of Galatians. The “works of the law” is the law of Judaism, with its practice of circumcision in making gentile proselytes (converts) to Judaism. Take a few minutes to read this post, if you haven’t already, to provide the foundation for today’s post. If you haven’t read the Torah Perspective Galatians Series, from Chapter One, Part One, I encourage you to take the time to read all of it, in order. Paul’s letter is very logically, methodically, and consistently laid out, keeping with the context of his other letters and all of Scripture. Reading Galatians in context clears up a lot of long standing issues surrounding what Paul, or Saul writes. He has been falsely accused of being anti-Torah. He is rather, anti-Judaism, as we see his argument against it in Chapter One. While Saul/Paul was a rising star in Judaism, being zealous for the traditions of the Judaism, he sought to destroy the church of Messiah Yeshua. From that point he begins to expose the problem and deal with it. With the foundation laid from Chapter One, and continuing Paul’s thought from Galatians 3:10, let’s pick up in Verse 11.
Amen! Jews can be saved. Many have been saved, and more will be saved. Bless Yah. He saves both Jew and Gentile without respect to ethnicity. It is to all who believe in Messiah, The Living Torah, who will be saved.

AND, when the teachers of the Law sat in Moses seat, and read Torah, YES do what they say. But don't do what they do, in their lawless additions and subtractions to Torah. This is lawless Judaism.

Bless Yahweh. He sent His Son, The Living Torah, the Voice of Yahweh, who came saying, "You've heard it said, but I say to you...." the Truth. He was telling them that what they were hearing from the various yeshivas was not what He said.

Pharisees in acts 15:5 said the gentiles must be circumcised and required to obey the Law of Moses. Jesus said the Pharisees were hypocrites. But said in Matthew 23:2-4 The Teachers of the law and Pharisees sit in Moses seat. So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. Paul said he was a Jew from Tarsus in Cilcia. Acts 21:39. You can be a Jew and believe in Messiah. The problem is forcing your traditions on the Gentiles and putting them above Yahwehs Commandments.

Banner,
It is such a blessing and an encouragement to read the revelations that Yah has spoken to you from His word! I praise Him for the new covenant and the words of truth that are so edifying in this perspective you've shared! I am thankful for each member of His body! I pray that He continues to build you up to encourage & edify the saints and that the light of life (His Word..the living Word..Yeshua) continues to shine forth from your life into the darkness of those without Him. You are a blessing to me, brother!
In His love...
Tina

Great thoughts, Banner. This is a bold position to take, but it makes sense to me, as I have been trying to reconcile the duality you mention here about an essentially secular Israel claiming fulfillment of biblical prophecy by being regathered to the land (with evangelical Christianity in tow, to boot).

While I'm all for seeing a repentant Israel living in their native land, it nevertheless does have the appearance of more of the "arm of flesh" than the divine hand of God. It may be that they are being gathered not for a blessing, but in preparation for judgment when Messiah returns, at which time the remnant will then be saved. You probably won't hear that type of eschatology getting a lot of air-time, though.

Thanks for an insightful library of articles.

Thank you for your response, Fred. I took a hiatus from writing because of some things Yah was dealing with me about. I'm praying about when to start up again, and I am asking if Yah if your response is my "go ahead" sign. He has been dealing with me about Torah and forgiveness, and the practical application of Torah, specifically in areas of life as we deal with love for the brethren and our responsibilities as citizens in the kingdom of Yahweh, and our general citizenship in the world at large. What does Torah say about the poor, the environment, and the earth and wildlife? Especially given what Yahweh says to Adam about "tending" or being a steward of His Creation, and in Revelation 11:18, that says, "And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

Pray for me, if you feel led to. I welcome your prayers and I welcome your questions, comments and input. I'd like this blog to be more than just an impersonal posting and response, as the Spirit leads. I would like it to be practical, personal, and relational, as we each seek Him for who His Word says He really is.

Also, check out Brother Gary Hoffman's blog, and Pastor Ron Hyre's blog.
Right on! Your latest post on this blog is from November. I hope you are still blogging on here regularly. I've read a couple of your blog posts and I am using them as a starting point for a renewal of family study in our home. I have difficulty projecting my thoughts and understanding of things in a way that my family can understand. These posts will help me to clarify my position on things without causing a volcano to erupt. The old and new testament scripture references help the most.

Shalom,
Fred

Fianlly... the last one....

Matthew 7 also says that, in the last days, people will come to Yeshua/Jesus, and say that they have done many things in His name, all of them sounding really good, but He says that He doesn't know them! But they did these things in His name! We read in Psalms that He regards His Word above His name (Psalm 138:2). His Word is His Truth, His Law, as seen in verses I listed earlier in this reply.

To those people who say they've done all these things, that sound like good things, in His name, He says, “Depart from Me, I never knew you, you who practice lawlessness!” Lawlessness, according to John, in 1st John 3 is sin. He says that sin is lawlessness; transgression of the Law of God.

Finally, in Revelation 22, we read that only those who do the commandments of God have the right to eat of the Tree of Life. Those on the outside are the ones who love and practice the lie. In Revelation 22 we are told, again (first in Deuteronomy 4:2) not to add to or take away from what God said.

Have you read that Adam and Eve, and subsequently all of us born to them inheriting the curse, were barred from the Tree of Life because of the curse of sin/lawlessness? But, again, the curse is removed to each person when they love God and keep His commandments (Exodus 20:6).

I pray you will be willing to consider these Scriptures, and then do the research yourself, both from a Biblical and historic perspective, and see what the Truth really is. Yeshua said, “You shall know the Truth, and the Truth (when you believe it to the point of submitting to it – humbling yourself to it) will set you free.

James 4:6 and 1st Peter 5:5 says that God “gives grace to the humble but resists the proud.”

Peace,
Banner
