Food Laws and Laws Concerning Sexuality, Given by Yahweh, Are a Blessing

The Commandments of Yahweh should be obeyed simply because He said so. But, beyond that, His Commandments are given for our protection. Arrogant mankind chooses to ignore Yahweh’s Commandments and believe that he now has an expanded intellect, and greater knowledge to mitigate the dangerous results of disobedience to Yahweh’s Commandments. Man wants to throw off the shackles of Torah, believing that he knows best. There is no God, and no absolutes. Meantime the mad rush to lawless behavior is rapidly destroying mankind. This is evidence in so many areas of life. Two come to mind right off the bat.
#1 is the area of sexual promiscuity and the abomination of lesbianism and homosexuality. Throughout time the result of these Torah opposing practices have resulted in terminal illness, untold domestic and emotional devastation, costing countless numbers of people their lives. But man believes he has evolved to a higher plane where these consequences can be managed. The Truth is easily seen that this isn’t so. HIV is a death sentence, and is primarily spread through homosexual practices. Homosexuals have a higher rate of promiscuity, according to studies. And the rates of disease associated with the practice is staggering. One study reports that “56% of Aids is found in 2% (homosexuals) of the population.”
Multiple partners – promiscuity, even among heterosexuals results in serious disease that can cause untold devastation and even death. Even with man’s feeble efforts at protection, be it in the homosexual or heterosexual community, the devastating consequences are still there. Yahweh’s commandments about marriage between a between a man and a woman, and the severe punishment for adultery and homosexuality are for a reason. He knows the devastation they cause.
Most professing Christians would say “Amen” to what Yahweh says about sexual promiscuity, adultery, and homosexuality. But are professing Christians willing to look at all of Yahweh’s Word in the same light. The commandments concerning Biblical sexuality come from the Loving Instruction, the Torah of Yahweh. But what about other commandments of Torah? If you profess to love Yahweh, and walk in obedience to His Word, what is your attitude towards all of His commandments?
#2 What about Yahweh’s Instruction about what we should eat or not eat? Yahweh said clearly in Leviticus11 what is food and what is not food. But men, who profess to be His followers, have decided that He changed His mind and now those animals that He said were unclean, and not meant for food, are now food. And they’ve taught generations of professing believers that Yahweh has destroyed, or done away with the Torah commandments concerning food. The deception is so thick, with years of indoctrination into lawless tradition, that it is hard to separate the Truth from the lie.
A recent blog post that I wrote deals with Acts Chapter 10, the text most often cited by those who claim that the food laws have been set aside. A careful, contextual reading of the text will show clearly that this is not accurate. Peter’s vision wasn’t about what he was to eat. It was about his lawless understanding of gentiles being unclean, in and of themselves.
Man also believes that Pork is the new white meat, being a healthy alternative to the red meat of beef. But is that true? I know, the thought is that you can cook it thoroughly and make that fat, toxic filled, sweating, living breathing cesspool safe to eat. I encourage you to read some scientific evidence by, written by J.H. Kellogg in, in 1897, that should disgust you and make you never touch ham, bacon, sausage and pork chops ever again. The Truth is that Yahweh knows what the earth needs. He created swine Him to be a top feeder, among carrion eaters of the air, and other earth bound creatures, that clean the earth by eating carcasses and garbage, and processing the toxins through their body. He didn’t make those breathing “oil filters” for us to eat. It’s the same with shellfish, like shrimp, clams, lobster, etc. They were designed to clean the rivers, streams, lakes and oceans, and they do it very well. Yahweh designed them to work perfectly within His creation. Man decides he knows best and violates the divine order to his own destruction.
Heart disease, diabetes, cancers and more are associated with this type of eating. No amount of man’s self perceived “evolving” enlightenment, and advanced scientific technology, can mitigate the devastating consequences of lawless behavior of any kind. Yahweh’s Torah is still true, still valid, and still meant for our good.

Those who say that Torah is bondage, and a burden, I ask you, “What part of not eating something that will cause you serious health issues, and perhaps death, is a burden, and is bondage?” Much like the Sabbath, the single, weekly commanded day of rest from labor. Why would you consider this bondage? When rest is vital to a healthy life, why would this be called a burden? It seems that Yahweh has always known best.

It stands to reason, that He who created mankind, and every animal, tree, herb, plant of the field, fruit and vegetable, knows why He created them, and knows how we are to each fit into His environment. He knows what is best for each animal, the air, the water, dirt and rocks, and He knows what best for us. Doesn’t it stand to reason that His Instruction manual to us should be followed? When has the creation ever been told by the Creator, “You have evolved to a level that you can cast off My Instruction and make your own way. You can take it from here.”? He hasn’t said that. And He hasn’t changed. Neither has His Word.

Yahweh knows the pinnacle of His creation very well. That’s me and you, in case you’re wondering. We are the only ones He made in His image. But from the beginning we’ve questioned His Instruction. He said, in Deuteronomy 4:2, that we should be careful not to add to, or subtract from His Instruction. Yet, in our arrogance, we have. We still do, and we will continue to do so, if we aren’t willing to humbly submit to what He said.
His Torah/Instruction is spiritual and is practical. In Him, the Living Torah, Messiah Yeshua, is every thing we need for life and godliness, according to 2nd Peter 1:3. This covers both the spiritual aspects, and the practical aspects of life. No wonder He says that if we obey His Torah we will live, and if we don’t, we will die. He knows best, as to how we are to live the lives that He gave us. May we hear His Voice.
